
Bill Satterfield will be joining the staff at Greenback School at the beginning of the '25-'26 school year. Coach Satterfield will be serving as the school's athletic director for the upcoming school year.


Students who usually ride the second load for bus 17 will get home approximately 15-20 minutes earlier tomorrow. All students will ride home on the first load.

Attention families of Greenback School bus riders:
Due to a large concert event taking place in the Greenback area on Friday, April 25, we anticipate potential delays in school bus routes during the afternoon drop-off times. Increased traffic in and around the area may affect how quickly buses can get students home.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to safely transport all students.

The Greenback School band performed its spring concert this evening! This semester's chorus class joined the performance, as did the 3-5 grade choir!



The Greenback softball team is taking on Oakdale this evening. This is also senior night for the team. Congratulations to this year's seniors!

Greenback School is proud to announce this year's Valedictorian and Salutatorians. Congratulations to Karli Hammontree, Valedictorian of the Class of 2025, and to Hannah Bryant and Marlee Ownsby, the Salutatorians of the class of 2025!

Loudon County school board member Andy Disney recognized Greenback School wrestlers who qualified for the state tournament in early 2025. Wrestlers are Natalya Russell and Niko Inmon. Coaches Bryce Ruis and Ernie Inmon are also featured.



BUS 17 DELAY: Bus 17 has experienced a mechanical problem. Another bus will be bringing students home and they will arrive approx. 30 mins later than usual. Students who ride the 2nd load of Bus 17 will also arrive home later. Parents can pick up 2nd load bus 17 students at the school, if desired.


Kindergarten and PreK Round Up will take place on Friday, April 4 from 8:15 AM to 3:00 PM. For Kindergarten, children must be five years of age on or before August 15, 2025. For PreK, children must be four years of age on or before August 15, 2025. Please read the flyer carefully so you know what items to bring with you. Registration packets will be available at the school.


The wonderful staff of the Greenback School cafeteria are helping our students celebrate National School Breakfast Week! Mrs. Sherry Brown does a great job creating themes for these events, and this year's theme is based on the classic detective board game "Clue". Students who ate a school breakfast today got a detective's mustache!





Greenback School will open on a 2 hour delay on Friday, Feb. 21. Cafeteria doors will open at 9:30 AM and the main entrance doors will open at 9:55. Breakfast will be available. High school students will report to their 2nd block class at 9:55. All other students will report to their homeroom. The high school CTE Career Fair will be rescheduled.

Four Greenback students were recognized by the Loudon County BOE for qualifying for the elementary state cross country track meet. Featured in the photo are Lily Wogomon, Cameron Slaughter, and Joseph Moran. Not featured. Annabelle Collins. Wogomon and Moran made all-state! Claudette Ervin is the team's coach.





Loudon County Schools is adopting science textbooks from the list of TDOE approved materials. As part of the state-mandated process, public viewing of and feedback on materials is available at the Loudon County Technology Center from 8:30-3:30 on any day school is in session from Feb. 10th - March 6th.


Mr. Brookshire and Mr. Mark rewarded 3rd-5th graders who earned POP tickets with ring pops during lunch today. Students earn POP tickets for showing excellent behavior at school.
