
Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of October 2nd.
1. We are entering week 3 of our Read-a-thon fundraiser. Continue to ask your friends and families for donations. This is our only field trip of the year! We have great prizes this year from slap bracelets, t-shirts, guest announcer spot, surprise field trip, and even a Hover Board and Kart.
2. The Rocketeer went home last Friday with tons of information, lunch/breakfast menus, PTO connection, and family calendar. Here is a link to it on our website too: https://5il.co/266ga
3. Next week is Fall Break, so there is no school.
4. When we return it will be the final week of our fundraiser. All donations are due on Wednesday, October 18th to qualify for prizes. We will announce our top winners and Royal Court on Friday, October 20th during our LIVE announcements followed by our parade.
5. On Friday, October 20th we will have the Read-a-thon and Carnival.
6. The Auction will go live on Saturday, October 14th and will close at 7:30 pm the night of the Carnival (10/20). 7. We will start the wristband and punch card presale on Monday, October 16th. We do discount the wristbands if purchased prior to the night of the carnival. We have 10 inflatables, 8 different food trucks, a DJ, and tons of booths so don’t miss it on October 20th from 5-8 on the track.

We can't stop celebrating the Home2School Connection activity for Sept. Here are a few students from Miss. Mayfield's room sharing their puppets/Dino facts. 🦕🦖. We are 1/2 through our school-wide books study "Dinosaurs Before Dark". What will Jack and Annie discover this week?



We are excited to announce that our new guidance counselor, Mrs. Choate, will be starting after Fall Break. Mrs. Choate comes to us with tons of experience and is a former Eaton Rocket 🚀 student!

Mrs. Larson's Scholars were hard at work evaluating 2 digit x 2 digit area models on Friday.

Mrs. Hoffman's class had a Sept. leaderboard on IXL. As a Class, they answered 11,168 questions correctly! The top 3 students were celebrated with a certificate & a prize. 2nd & 3rd place answered over 900 questions correctly & 1st place answered over 1000 questions correctly.

Students shared their Family Engagement activities today with their classmates. They brought in their puppets and discussed everything they've learned about 🦕 🦖 dinosaurs thus far.



Have you ever wondered who makes our flowerbed at the road look colorful and beautiful? Mrs. Hattley may not be in our building everyday as our Vice Principal but she is still wrapping her loving arms around our school. Thank you for keeping our sign maintained and beautiful! ❤️

Last Friday Ms. Quesenberry's class finished their first class novel, The Whipping Boy. Her ELA classes had to help the main characters escape from the castle. Everyone worked in groups to break codes, solve puzzles, and answer reading and grammar questions. Luckily, everyone made it out successfully!









Blair presented her dinosaur puppet she made yesterday to her class. Be sure to bring yours tomorrow! ❤️



We are late celebrating the classes in each grade level with the best attendance record for August. We will announce September's at the end of next week. Way to go Frye, Dauscha, Whitefield, Buscemi/Dean, and Byars!

Art club on Tuesday kicked off fall with watercolor pumpkin patch paintings. 👩🎨🎨🎃
