First grade has been learning about the Aztec civilization this week. The Aztecs used chinampas, or floating islands, to grow food and crops. Students had a blast making their own chinampas out of playdo today!

It was an a-maize-ing day in first grade! First graders have been learning about the Maya civilization. Maize was a major crop of the Mayans, so students made a maize craft.

All Loudon Elementary School students will bring home a fundraiser permission slip today. If you wish for your child to participate in the chocolate bar sales, please sign and return to school on Wednesday. Once chocolate is sent with students, we cannot take it back. If your child rides a bus, please communicate with your child's teacher if you want the chocolate sent on the bus or not. Our sale ends on November 20th.
Please note there is no school on Tuesday this week due to the election.
Our Veterans Day program will be on Monday, November 11th at 9:00. We ask that all visitors preregister to help make entry into the program faster.
