Instructional Literacy Coach
Hello. My name is Staci Gibby. I have been teaching for 22 years. I taught 2nd grade for three years and Kindergarten for 17. I have enjoyed every single year immensely. In 2016, I was afforded the opportunity to serve as the K-3 Read to be Ready coach where our mission is to have 75% of our 3rd graders reading proficiently by the year 2025. Last year my role was extended to include Pre-K-8 as an instructional literacy coach. I am thrilled to be working alongside my peers while still having the opportunity to interact with students. A little bit about myself: I have been married for 25years and have two children. My son is 23 years old and currently employed at Y-12. My daughter is 13 and in Seventh Grade at P.E.S. I graduated from Lee University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood. I have received my Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership through Tennessee Technological University and my Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. I truly enjoy watching our smallest Warriors mature and grow into independent learners. My goal each day is to challenge, support, teach, and most importantly love those who are part of my life's purpose. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with new challenges and many rewarding experiences!
